Students reflect on our Turangawaewae Inquiry so far and talk about what they will do with their learning now.

Harry, Daniel and Stefanie talk about their ideas as we look back on our learning this term and how we might use our new ideas next. We realised there are ideas we may not know about our own culture, as well as other people's.

Reflecting on the Inquiry into Turangawaewae - what does it mean to us now? Student Voices

Jayrett and Courtney say what learning about each other and our cultures has taught us to do so far. What will we do with our learning?

Mandarin using 'magic' ink paper and water to write our characters!

We just didn't want to stop - how did learning a new language become so fun and interactive?!!

Students who speak other languages...

Marcus, Daisy, Daniel, Sayuni have been practicing their literacy skills and talking and writing about their families. They have created some artistic graphic presentations about their learning!

Young Engineers at our school - after school and in the holidays.

If you are interested in what happens at school after 3pm - one group who run classes for keen Scientists and Engineers are The Young Engineers group in our Library. There are amazing things going on there and Will has shared with the class what he has made in the past - so inspiring Will! Thank you for sharing your learning today!

Vector and Safety around electricity - be smart everyone!

R14 and R15 were really interested in the facts behind how we connect to electricity and how much goes into our houses!

Elspeth from Vector was a great presenter with so many facts and stories to tell us. Did you know we are 70% water?

Eliza, Adam and Lucas tried on the special electricity resistant clothes the Electrical Engineers wear when they are working on our power lines. Leather and rubber materials are protective fabrics for the clothes they wear.

Room 14 would like to wish you....

Room 14 you are all so awesome! You won the Assembly Award today and deserve a holiday for sure!
