Now you have seen our art we can share how we made it!

Choosing tiny beads to thread onto craft wire to make the central part of our hibiscus flowers - this required a lot of fine motor control and perseverance!

Twisting pipe cleaners and bending them through the clear plastic dragonfly wings took a bit of fiddling around and at times a buddy to hold the pieces still.

After the dye was dry we had to lay out all the pieces and think about how to layer the composition together - no one art work was the same as anyone else's design. Split pins and glue guns held it all together.

Have a safe and cosy July Holiday Break everyone!

Have a well earned rest Room 14 - we have another fun filled term coming up with Cross Country, (keep running), Community Swimming programme, Maths Week, Disco, Poetry Festival and more! Eat lots of Vitamin C and sleep well.

I promised I would post a pic of Milo in front of the fire so here it is:

Less puddles more fun! Just in time for the Winter rain.

And just when you thought the puddles were getting too deep here came the trucks!! Thank you to Mr Lesley and Mr Smith who spent a long time spreading out the bark for us!

Mandarin meets technology - we love Quizlets!!

Miss Han has been making our Mandarin Learning more interactive and collaborative with Quizlets about the basic language we are learning - colours, body parts etc. Here we are in teams and competing against the clock to see who can match the correct Mandarin words to the images. Miss Han sets the quiz on live so that each team can see how fast they can get their answers in and view the leaderboard at the front screen. There was a quiz for those who can speak Mandarin at home to set them a higher challenge and one for those who are learning the basics.

Apologies for not posting in a while - I feel we have had a super busy end to the term!

Jammies in June!! - amazing response for this charity thank you everyone! We were all so cosy!

Dilan and Daisy have shown special talents in our Art for the Arts Week at school with their beautiful compositions for Pacifika flowers - I hope you came along to see the talents in our school!

In the last week of school The Playhouse Theatre group presented The Hare and the Tortoise.
It was a modern version with all sorts of characters including Humpty Dumpty, the Pied Piper and the Gingerbread Man. It was funny and had sound effects and music along the way.
